Yellowstone Days 2 and 3

We've had a great time in Wyoming.  What's next?  I'm not telling!  (We don't know yet!)

Pictures of Yellowstone are below.  Other things we did:  We rescued a runaway weenie dog, spent a few dollars at the quilt store, ate ice cream, and went to Walmart every day. That was us -- the motorhome had it's own plans!

On the road to Yellowstone, the tire pressure sensors kept beeping.  We ignored it but finally stopped and looked at the tires.  One was very low.  Grumpy is a prepared man and pulled out the tire pumper upper.  He decided it was the tire valve extenders so he took the them all off.  A week later when we were ready to leave Cody, ALL OF THE TIRES WERE FLAT!  He tried to pump them up himself but one of them was too pooped (bead was unseated?).  We called out a repairman but he was unable to help us.  Next, came a tire repair guy he got the pooped tire filled and checked all the other ones for us.  We got on the road five hours later than planned.

Just a few miles up the road, a wild woman was sticking her head out the window of her car telling us to pull over!  What?!  So we pulled over and Grumpy checked things out.  One of the lower bay storage doors was open -- open against the wind -- and was now scratched, bent, and broken.  We haven't figured out yet if we lost anything from the open door.

On our way to our next overnight stay, we stopped to buy diesel.  Everything was fine until we started to pull away from the pump.  SCRAPE, SCRAPE, DRAG, CRUNCH!  The brakes on the car dolly were locked up!  We parked across the street at a diesel station/truck stop for the night where Grumpy luckily found someone to fix the brake.  Whew!

Yellowstone is really amazing!  There is just so much going on!  We also drove over to see the Grand Tetons -- Wow!!

This is what is left over after a fire several years ago.  I just thought the contrast was so interesting.

The Last Chapter

Yes, this is the last chapter.  It’s a sad one.  Grumpy requested that I not tell many people of his health issues.  He had a small stroke i...
